Welcome! I am a photographer in north-central Wisconsin, based in Merrill and serving the Wausau area. I specialize in high school Seniors, children, portraits, and families. Thankfully, this big guy of mine was pretty cooperative. 1.)
The M FamilyIn the spring, I offered mini-sessions for a few weeks and was happy to see families take advantage of the opportunity, including the M family. It was a bit of a challenge as we were having some issues with the spring rain, but we managed through it and had a lot of fun (even captured a few rain-drops in some photos.) It was also great to meet another homeschooling family! Here are some highlights of our day.

Gracie, Class of '14 | Claremont Christian Academy ~ Claremont, NHI've been taking a lot of guy Senior pictures in the past year, so fun to get another girl again! Gracie is a dancer and it was fun and challenging to incorporate that part of her life into her pictures. She also has a dog she loves and I couldn't get over the smiling dog! Spring BeautyI just love this photo-shoot. For awhile, I've envisioned something like this -- two sweet girls, in flower crowns, in a lush field. Yes, I've been inspired by other examples (It's hardly an original idea on my part,) but just to be able to execute it in my own way is a thrill. I didn't think it was time yet. Spring has come late to NH this year. But, suddenly, the green came quickly. Though I had originally envisioned a summer wild-flower field, I saw how enticing that early, light spring green was and, suddenly, we were on! My daughter turned 14 this year and this was my perfect chance. She is also friends with another young lady who had the perfect innocent, demure look I was looking for, so we were almost in business! Almost. I needed the perfect wardrobe. Something timeless and light. Not having anything like that, we ventured to the local thrift store, not expecting the miracle of finding two dresses that would fit the description AND fit both girls (one quite taller than the other,) but you have to start somewhere! We went to the first store and got our miracle. Two perfect dresses. A happy beginning for my beautiful 14-year-old and thanks to her friend, Victoria, for indulging me. I hope you and your family love the pay-off as much as I do! These were SO HARD to narrow down! Here are my favorites:
My GirlsSpring has come and I had to get my girls out among the spring annuals before they were gone. Such a short-lived time in New Hampshire! This was, particularly, sweet after a long, cold winter.
Ayden, Class of '14 | Clear Mountain Homeschool ~ Claremont, NHSurprisingly, photographers can be the worst about neglecting their own children's portraits. I try to be very conscientious about that -- even with kids who hate to be in front of the camera. My son graduates from our homeschool this year and, you can bet, he's going to get nice Senior portraits! I have to give him credit; he did a great job and even seemed to enjoy himself. Mom is pleased with these memories and I know he will be, too.

Winter Fun
New England has been in the depths of a hard winter this year, which limits my options for shoots. As a homeschooling Mom, however, that's all good. Still, it's fun to get out once in awhile and I couldn't resist when my daughters and a friend glammed up one afternoon! Yes, it was quite cold out there, but they were real troopers and didn't hesitate to pose sans outerwear! We kept it short and sweet and we got some fun winter memories for our trouble.
1.) One of my favorite models. I love her dark coloring and, of course, that gorgeous hair! All of these are girls are naturals in front of the camera.
2.) 3.)Red, black, and white are among the hardest colors to capture and edit correctly -- esp. in all that white snow! Happy for this opportunity and the results: 4.) 5.)My girls are nuts about the Disney film, "Frozen." She reminds me of the Snow Queen.
